Will Medicare Implode?

Even before the 2010 healthcare reform law, physicians were opting out of Medicare-i.e. refusing to take any new patients under that public program. In Texas, the largest number of doctors dropping out was primary care physicians. It is a reasonable guess that the 21 percent cut in Medicare reimbursement won’t ameliorate this trend.
