Leonard Hayflick

People have long dreamed about slowing or even reversing the human aging process and, theoretically at least, those goals may be attainable in the age of molecular medicine.  But, pioneering gerontologist Leonard Hayflick pointed out the consequences of such achievements at a talk he gave recently in Paris: “Aging is no longer an unsolved biological problem.”  Technology Review recently interviewed Dr. Hayflick and nearly as interesting are the replies the piece generated.         MORE
