CMS released, on April 10, new standards for pain management in elderly patients that nursing homes and assisted living facilities must demonstrate.  While CMS does not specify what procedure or technologies the caregivers have to adopt, the guidelines provide a context for developing, say, movement monitoring bed mats for pain/sleep analysis.  DOWNLOAD THE PDF
