Sleep, Diabetes and Obesity

A group of researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Bariatric Surgery Clinic have reported finding a link between sleep disordered breathing and glucose metabolism in the liver, suggesting a connection to diabetes and obesity. They hypothesized that obesity and nocturnal oxyhemoglobin desaturation act as a one-two hit in progression of liver disease. MORE
