Leading hospitals in the US-e.g. Johns Hopkins, Cleveland Clinic-are pursuing relationships abroad, in some instances actually establishing hospitals overseas, but more often starting with collaborations for exchanges of physicians, medical students, joint conferences, and administrative consulting.  Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA has recently established an educational program with the pediatrics department of Jikei University School of Medicine in Tokyo, as part of Mattel’s intent to expand its network throughout the Americas, Pacific Rim and India.             MORE
